At Tallinna Optika, eyes are examined and prescriptions for glasses and lenses are written by experienced optometrists and eye doctors.
What is an optometrist?
An optometrist is a healthcare professional with a professional higher education who examines and corrects eyesight, prescribes glasses and contact lenses, and provides professional advice if you have a problem with your eyesight. In their work, optometrists use state-of-the-art tests; they have excellent specialist expertise and the best work methods.
Children, the elderly and anyone suspecting they might have an eye condition are advised to contact an eye doctor.
Our eye doctors provide full consultations:
– exams of the fundus of the eye
– measurement of intraocular pressure
– diagnosis and treatment of inflammations
If needed, you will be referred to medical diagnosis centres for further tests.
Eye doctors also issue certificates:
– weapons permits
– driving licences
– children’s eye exams before starting school
We recommend that everyone have their eyes examined at least once a year. For wearers of contact lenses, it is advisable to not wear their lenses for at least 4 hours before having their eyes examined.
